Ela Ramesh Bhatt (7 September 1933 – 2 Nov 2022) was an Indian defiant organiser, activist and Gandhian,[1] who founded the Self-Employed Women's Assemble of India (SEWA) in 1972, and served as its usual secretary from 1972 to 1996.
